The Bible
The Bible is the inspired Word of God and is His revelation to mankind.
God
There is only one true and living God who is the Creator of all things. He is infinite and completely holy. He is a Triune God revealed as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
Depravity
Man is God's special creation endowed with soul and spirit and the freedom of choice. Because of choice man is by nature given to the violation of God's Holy Law. It is this sinful nature present in all that separates man from his Holy and Infinite Creator. Because of this sinful nature no man by any of his good deeds is able to please a perfect God.
Grace
Despite man's sinful nature, God loves all mankind. His unmerited love caused Him to send His Son Jesus, to redeem man from his sinful nature.
Jesus
Jesus is God who became human through an inexplicable and miraculous virgin birth. He lived a life without sin and of His own volition died on a cross in order to make full payment for the sins of all. Three days after death, God raised Him bodily from the grave, He walked and talked with his disciples for forty days, was seen by hundreds of witnesses, and then ascended back to heaven after promising to return in a similar fashion.
Salvation
Salvation is the divine forgiveness of sin and the gift of eternal life to anyone who believes in the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus as the son of God and the Savior of man. It is completely by God's grace through faith and not dependent on meritorious works, traditional ritual, baptism, or church affiliation.
Good Works
Good works are not a means to salvation but a result of salvation. They are the result of the indwelling of the Holy Spirit. Good works are modeled after the walk and life of Jesus, are motivated by love, and are a reflection of divine love.
Eternal Security
We have assurance from Jesus that when we accept Him as our Savior we have eternal life which means that our spirit will never perish, and when this physical life is over our spirit will be eternally united with His. Our bodies will be physically resurrected in an eternal form when He returns, which He has promised to do.
The Church
The church is the body and bride of Christ and is composed of all born again believers. The local congregation is an autonomous body of baptized believers associated together for the purpose of worship, fellowship, and the sharing of the gospel locally and around the world.
Church Officers and Ordinances
The two ordained officers of the church are pastor and deacon. The pastor is the shepherd of the local church and is responsible to Christ for the spiritual welfare and instruction of the church. The deacon is a servant of the church who ministers to the needs of the members. The two ordinances of the church are baptism by immersion, symbolic or our spiritual death, burial, and resurrection to new life in Christ; and the Lord's Supper which is a symbolic remembrance of the sacrifice of Jesus for the sins of the world.
